Oh boy I'm so excited about finally showing you my new + revamped Daily Action Planner. The old one just didn't make my heart sing that much, so I had to call up my paint brushes + Liquitex acrylics + micro-pigment pens + I said: "Yo, buddies, I need a hand SOS." And so they came to the rescue in a flash, just like the Ghost Busters + I'm so happy with the results. Teamwork rocks!
why i made them
Now, why I'm a making such a big deal out of this printable. Well, because it so happens that this instrument is single handedly my most precious weapon when it comes to building my creative business + getting things done.
You see, I'm a BIG dreamer with a pumping heart that tingles every time I new idea pops into my head. I get so super excited about new projects + new collections + new ventures + even a new box of Crayons, which is exhilarating + fun, but darn I get so overwhelmed sometimes. Know that feeling? When you can't even sleep right because you're brain is not shooting off + the ideas are still knocking at your door? It gets to be too much sometimes right?
Here's the thing, our ideas + big dreams are our most precious asset. So I'm not about to suggest that you surrender your creative genius. What a boring life filled with censured sadness + leashed madness would that be. So, instead, what I'm asking you to do is to call for help. You are not alone.
And that's where this Daily Action Planner fits in. I've designed it to help you pin point your big messy ideas + bring them down to a format that fosters achievable + managable mini size actions.
why they work
Last time I checked, there were only 24 hours in a day, so my Daily Action Planner philosophy concentrates on putting aside your "everything imaginable to-do list" + instead focuses on picking 5 (yes only 5) actionable tasks you can tackle each day. This is not brain surgery, though it sure might feel like it. All I'm asking you to do is to dissect your abstract dreams into little bite size steps that kick you into gear a day at a time.
This exercise will liberate you from the paralysis of that never-ending to-do list you have in your head + it will actually bring you closer to your epic life. Rome wasn't built in a day! So be gentle with yourself + learn to enjoy the journey of achieving your goals baby steps at a time.
start now
That crazy dream (yes, the one you can't seem to get off your mind), now it's a perfect time to go forth + plan exactly how you're going to make it happen. Today's a good day to start.
xo,
Mayi Carles
