Don't be fooled by the title. I don't mean "sneaky marketing" in a deceitful or malicious way. In fact, far from it. I mean marketing in a forthright smarty pants tactful fashion. The kind you should be doing to grow your business on Hulk steroids.
I'll get to that in a minute. First I want to talk about my obsession with Sir Mickey Mouse, who at the age of 8, supposedly, made me beg my parents for the Mickey-ears shaped ice cream sandwich bar. How clever was that? Bravo Walt Disney! Absolutely brilliant.
Right then + there I'm sure, I learned that marketing is everything we do + everywhere we look.
And so, today's video taps into some of my favorite outside the box places to market your brand that most people overlook. If you're curious hit play + sing along.
After watching here's what I would L-O-V-E you to do:
1. Give my dear friend Arturo de la Guardia the standing ovation for the cutest intro + finale animation in the Milky Way. I mean did you catch those Pixar-quality clips? Seriously wicked. Oh + if you're curious about the behind the scenes action that went into making it or would like an awesome animation of your very own, Arturo will be popping in very very soon for a guest post to share the whole scoop. Hold on tight.
2. Leave a comment below sharing your favorite "sneaky" spot to market your business, but I can't promise to keep it a secret (wink).
3. If you want to take things up a notch (or more like 100 notches), I seriously recommend getting your hands on April Bowles' Marketing for Creatives digital guide. I devoured my copy this week in spite of all the wedding madness that I've got going on, because it was insanely useful + filled with practical exercises I could literally implement in a hot second. Don't you love it when that happens?
And that's a wrap.
A tsunamic virtual hug to you for your contagious enthusiasm + out-of-the-park contribution in the comments + beyond. I'm so humbled by your infinite support over the weeks helping me spread the Friday Video Time love. A million thank you hugs don't suffice. I just wanted you to know that.
xo,
Mayi Carles
PS: I'm an affiliate for April's Marketing for Creatives digital guide, which means that if you buy from my link I make some money. You might also be curious to know I rarely, if ever, promote other people's products on the blog because I'm extremely peaky + filter everything that I'm not utterly nuts about + know could make a huge difference in your life + business. Your trust is too precious to me + I would never risk it by sending you to a gimmicky product just to make a few bucks. That's all I have to say about that. Phew! That feels better.
